CORCORAN TO COLGATE 2011

Kingston, MA ~ Brendan Corcoran decides on Colgate University. Brendan will return to the Breakers next season before heading off to Colgate for September 2011. Brendan becomes the 15^th player off the Breakers 2009-10 team to commit to a college hockey program.

Brendan is a left shot, 1990’ born defenseman, who is 6’1 and 185lbs. Brendan scored 3 goals this season and added 25 assists for a total of 27 points in 46 games.

“I am very happy with my decision to attend Colgate University. It has always been my goal to attend a college that has a great academic and athletic reputation. It is a dream come true to play in the ECAC, and I am excited to be apart of the Colgate hockey program,” stated Brendan Corcoran.      

“Brendan is going to be a great college defenseman. It’s tough to find a good stay at home defenseman that makes a great first pass and has the offensive ability to jump into the play. We are expecting Brendan to be a leader on our team next season,” stated Head Coach David McCauley.  

“Playing for Bay State has given me this great opportunity and I am glad I chose to play for Coach McCauley and the Breakers. Coaches McCauley, Rennie and Robertson have been able to help me take my game to a higher level. I have learned so much playing for Bay State and would recommend the Breakers program to any player aspiring to play college hockey,” added Corcoran.

Brendan is the son of Frank and Ginny Corcoran of Milton, MA.
