McGRATH FOURTH BREAKER TO GO DIV. I

Kingston, MA ~ Ryan McGrath becomes the fourth Bay State Breaker to commit to a Division I College program this season. Defenseman Ryan McGrath will suit up for the Crusaders of Holy Cross next season.

Ryan is a left shot, 1989’ born defenseman, who is 5’11 and 185lbs. Currently Ryan is 4^th on the team in scoring with 22pts in 28 games. Ryan also leads the team in plus/minus ratio with a plus 23 rating.

“As long as I can remember, it has been my dream and goal to play NCAA Division I hockey at a college with both a strong academic reputation and tremendous hockey program. I could not be more excited to have the opportunity to attend Holy Cross and play for the Crusaders. From the first time I visited the campus and met Head Coach Paul Pearl and the team, I knew that Holy Cross is where I wanted to spend the next four years,” stated Ryan McGrath.     

“Ryan is a work-horse. He is a player who competes every single day and that has what made Ryan into the player that he is. He makes our team better with his leadership, off-ice work habits and professionalism,” stated Head Coach David McCauley.

“I am very thankful to Coach McCauley and his staff for the chance to join the Breakers this season, and truly appreciate all of the support and guidance Coach McCauley has given me in order to achieve my goal. Coming to Bay State was one of the best decisions I have ever made,” added McGrath.

Ryan is the son of Kathy and Paul McGrath of Pittsburgh, PA.
