BREAKERS MITCHELL DECIDES ON RIT

2009-10-27

Adam Mitchell #18

Kingston, MA ~ Bay State Breakers forward Adam Mitchell has committed to attend Rochester Technical Institute (RIT) for the fall of 2010. RIT competes in the NCAA Division I Atlantic Hockey League.

Adam is a 6’2 200lb right shot 90’ forward from Crofton, Maryland. This is Adam’s second year with the Bay State Breakers Eastern Junior team. Last season with the Breakers Adam had 20 goals and 21 assists for a total of 41 points in 41 games. This season Adam has 11 goals and 4 assists in just 11 games.

“I am very excited about attending RIT next fall. I look forward to being apart of a great hockey program and competing at the Division I level. RIT is a great fit for me both athletically and academically. My focus now is to keep improving the rest of this season,” stated Adam Mitchell.

“Adam has developed into a complete player. His ability to score goals for us this season is something that I knew he would be capable of doing. He has matured as a player and individual, whereas his teammates named him as one of our captains this year. I wish Adam nothing but the best next season at RIT,” stated Breakers Head Coach David McCauley.

“Playing at Bay State has been a great experience. I have grown both as a player and an individual. Coach McCauley has been great in assisting me with the college process,” added Mitchell.

During the off-season Adam works out at the Craig Laughlin run Network Hockey Development Program. Adam is the son of Rita Mitchell of Williamstown, New Jersey.
