We wanted to update you on some of the current and exciting events that are happening here at the Bay State Breakers program.
The EHF Bantam Major/ U14 level has always been an interesting level due to players that will be in 8th grade wanting to play a full season and players that will be attending 9th grade looking to play half season.
Next year The EHF (www.fedhockey.com) will be offering a full season Bantam Major/ U14 for those players who will be interested in playing a full season. There is also a new Premier Junior league forming that consist of U16, U18 and U20 full season teams (www.USPHL.com) David McCauley who is the GM and operates the Junior portion of the Bay State Breakers has been invited into this new league.
We here at the Bay State Breakers will be bridging the levels and will work closely in forming a seamless transition for players in our program to transition from the Bantam Minor year into the Bantam Major /U14 Full and Half season level teams.
The Bay State Breakers will have two half season and two full season teams next year, all four teams will compete at The Elite and AAA levels in the EHF.
Bantam Major/U14 Structure:
U14 half season teams will consist of a skill and a full sheet practice each week along with 18 games through league and tournament play.
The Full season Bantam Major U14 Elite Full season team will consist of a skill, a practice with the USPHL U16 team, a full sheet practice and one off- ice training session, along with approximately 50 games through league and tournament play.
The Full season Bantam Major U14 AAA Full season team will consist of a skill and a full sheet practice along with 38 games through league and tournament play.
