Kingston, MA ~ On Sunday the Bay State Breakers traveled to Springfield for a Southern Division clash with the Springfield Pic’s. The Breakers would win the game by a score of 4-1. Mike Moran had two goals in the win. His first was a shorthanded tally and his second was an empty net goal. Breakers Captain Matt Vidal had a goal and an assist in the win. Breakers Defensemen Nate Brown and Harry Quast each chipped in with two assists. Breakers goalie Ben Halford stopped 31 0f the 32 shots he faced in the victory. “We played two good teams and came away with four points this weekend. We are playing good hockey at the right time of the year. With the injuries we have had other guys who have stepped in and played key roles stated Breakers Head Coach David McCauley.”

In the two wins this weekend Breakers goalie Ben Halford was outstanding. The Lennox, Ma native stopped 69 of the 70 shots he faced in the victories over the Monarchs and Pic’s. The Breakers next game is home at “The Bog” on Thursday February 16th at 7:10pm vs. The South Shore Kings. Baystate then heads to the Foxboro Ice Rink on Saturday February 18th for a game vs. the Northern Division top team The Junior Bruins. That game is at 5:30pm.
